Palletisation and container stuffing
Palletisation stabilises the packed product into a unit load, and container stuffing places those loads into a clean, sound container for transit. Done well, they protect the goods, use container space efficiently and create the records that support a claim if something goes wrong.
Pallet patterns and unit-load stability
The pallet type, stacking pattern, height, stretch wrap, strapping and corner protection stabilise the load without crushing the product or hiding required marks. The pattern is chosen for the pack, the weight and the handling conditions at destination.
Container inspection before loading
The container should be inspected before stuffing and confirmed clean, dry, odour-free and structurally sound, with the condition recorded. A container is a transport environment, not a substitute for proper packaging, and a damp or contaminated container can ruin an otherwise good shipment.
Stuffing records and sealing
The load is counted, photographed and sealed, and the stuffing is recorded — quantities, lot numbers, seal number and container condition. These records reconcile the physical load with the documents and support any later inspection or claim. For wooden pallets, confirm ISPM 15 wood packaging requirements.
