Growsian Agro coordinates Canada Organic certification within a documented export supply programme. For each order, the relevant product, operator, lot, evidence and destination requirements are aligned before dispatch.
Organic imports into Canada must be supported by a valid organic product certificate submitted through the Integrated Import Declaration or its Unique Reference Number. Other commodity requirements still apply.

The Canada Organic Regime
Products represented as organic in Canada fall under the Canada Organic Regime, administered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). For products from India, the operation must hold a valid organic product certificate recognised for the Canadian market, and the consignment must meet Canadian import and labelling requirements.
Certification and recognised standards
The operator’s organic certificate must be recognised for supply to Canada, whether through an equivalence arrangement or certification to the Canadian Organic Standards. Confirm the certificate’s recognised scope for the specific products and activities before treating a product as eligible for Canada.
Importer identification: IID or URN
Canadian import controls identify the importer and consignment through mechanisms such as an Import Identification (IID) or a unique reference number (URN) used in the relevant import systems. The importer of record carries obligations to confirm that the organic certification and documentation are in order before release.
CFIA requirements
The CFIA oversees organic claims and import compliance. Organic products entering Canada must meet the applicable requirements, and the CFIA can verify certification and labelling. Documentation should link the consignment to the certified operator.
Bilingual labelling
Consumer-facing organic products in Canada generally require bilingual (English and French) labelling, and use of the Canada Organic logo is subject to the applicable rules and organic-content thresholds. Approve artwork against Canadian requirements before printing.
